Subway of Clearfield Super Late Models $3000-to-Win Feature Up This Saturday, May 21; Shirley Southern Memorial for Texas Auto Ranch 4 Cylinders Pays $700 to Win

STRONGSTOWN, PA (May 17, 2022) – Dog Hollow Speedway’s first big weekend is quickly coming upon us. Dog Hollow Speedway and Marion Center Speedway are switching nights for one week. On Saturday, May 21 Dog Hollow will host the Subway of Clearfield Super Late Models with the track paying $2500 and Kittey’s Cookies and Pizzelles adding an additional $500 for the winner, making it a $3000 paycheck for the top dog that night with $250 to start the A-Main. Marion Center will host the Connor Bobik Memorial for the World of Outlaw Late Models on Friday, May 20.

We are proud to host the Inaugural Shirley Southern Memorial for the Texas Auto Ranch 4 Cylinders on the same night. The race was originally scheduled to pay $500 to the winner and the family has pitched in and it will now pay $700 to win for the lucky 4 Cylinder driver. Shirley has been a fixture at Dog Hollow since it opened. Her son Mike Phillipson has competed, and won, in the 4 Cylinder Class along with two of her grandsons, Dylan and Cody Young. We are excited to have this race to honor her.

The RUSH Sprint Cars and the Schaeffer’s RUSH Stock Cars/Pure Stocks will also be in competition. Check out Facebook or the Website about Pure Stock Rules changes.

Teams are welcome to come over after Friday’s race and park in the pits and camp overnight at Dog Hollow.

Any fan who shows their ticket stub from Friday’s show at Marion Center will get $2 off grandstand admission only at Dog Hollow.

Saturday’s show will see the pit gates open at 4:00 PM, Grandstands at 6:00 PM with Racing at 7:30 PM.
